Hope

Hope may have different meanings to different people. Hope can be a positive outlook for the future. Hope can be an optimistic attitude. Hope can make today’s problems easier to bear. Hope is believing in something you can’t see yet. Hope can provide us with motivation and determination to keep moving forward. Hope is a funny word when you have spent an hour saying it and trying to write about it.

Even if we all have a different definition for the word, one thing we all have in common is hope. If we are left with nothing else, we still have hope. When life beats us down with trials and sorrows and worries, we can find the strength to keep going because of hope. If you start to feel hopeless, God provided many scriptures about hope that can offer incredible encouragement.

I like to think of hope as a powerful belief that good things will happen to us through faith in God. If you want to completely wreck all the plans the devil has for you, simply stay full of hope at all times. Always believe that something amazing, something that only God can do, is right around the corner. Live as if what you desire is already yours. Your faith “activates” Gods power and blessings. Continuously remind yourself throughout the day that something good is going to happen… and it will. :)

Psalm 16:9  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope.

Isaiah 30:18  Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
