God IS Answering Our Prayers

God always answers our prayers. It may not seem like it because it may not be in the way we want or as quickly as we want. Sometimes He answers with “Not now.” Sometimes He answers with “How about this instead? It will be so much better.” Sometimes He answers with a firm “No.” But when He does that it is for our own good. Just like when a parent tells a child “No, don’t touch that stove!” The parent knows the consequences and says no for the child’s protection. In this same way, our Heavenly Father wants to protect His children.

If we feel our prayers are being left unanswered maybe we are praying wrong. We should be asking that God’s will be done. Prophecy is coming to pass. He isn’t going to change His mind about this just because we don’t like it. Matthew 24:6 tells us “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”  The time is growing short. I think God is telling us these things must come to pass but if we put our trust in Him, He will guide and protect us. Jesus told us in the Bible “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” The ninth plague on Egypt was darkness. During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived.

He hasn’t forsaken us. He promised He wouldn’t and He won’t. I believe we are caught up in a battle of good vs. evil. Have faith and be a soldier. God will take care of His children.

  • True. To quote our minister at Church Street: “God is a promise making, Promise remembering and promise keeping God”.
